The Guild is off to a great start for this new program year.  Thirty three knitters, some new to the Guild, came together to help decide the programs.  Results of the "blue dot" voting will be announced at the next meeting.  Marcia collected many beautiful scarves for the AAMC Breast Center.

The October 4 meeting will have a December Holiday theme.  Details to come shortly.  Members are asked to bring their favorite last minute gift idea to be included in a booklet we will all get.  More on this later too.

Guild Meeting:  September 6

This is the annual membership and planning meeting.  Dues of $25 will be collected.  If you accepted Marcia's Charity Scarf Challenge to knit one or more scarves, they are due this evening too.

At the July meeting, Marcia challenged all members to make a scarf for the Breast Cancer Center.  She has yarn so see her if you accept her challenge.  Any pattern is fine.

Teresa has left MD for FL.  We miss her already.  New Guild officers are Karen Santa, Vice President and Suzy Zumbro, Treasurer.  Lee and Kristin have agreed to stay on as President and Secretary.

JUNE 7 MEETING:  Knit Doctor is "IN" at 6:30 followed by a Ravelry 3.0 with Brenda.  Come join the conversation and bring your knitting to "show and tell".

GET READY FOR OUR ANNUAL "YARN SWAP" ON APRIL 5.  

On the agenda:  Without further ado, the much anticipated (and fantastic) YARN SWAP!  Bring what you would like to donate to the swap...yarn, of course, but also knitting books, supplies, magazines, needles, etc.  If you contribute, you will get to "shop" from the tables.

At the February meeting we continued with our Knit-A-Long, the beaded bag.  A few members showed off their finished masterpieces.  Since we could use any yarn and put beads anywhere, these illustrate the creativity of their designers.
